Housing Crisis Program

On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which includes $1.5 billion for a Homelessness Prevention Fund. Funding for this program, called the Housing Stability Program (HSP), is being distributed based on the formula used for the Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG) program.

Rapid Re-Housing is for individuals coming from a homeless shelter or those who are currently living on the streets. While Homeless Prevention is for those who have received an court ordered eviction notice from their landlord.
